Default Session dropping off for the last 3 days

Had no problem whatsoever with access to BCL until Sunday.

I left my machine logged with remembered details etc. then on Sunday there seemed to be some access problems. I presume that there was some site maintenance going on.

Since Sunday my 'remembered sessions' keep dropping out and suddenly I'm browsing anonymously.

I checked the cookie expiration on all of the bushcraftliving cookies all seems well.

You didn't by any chance just start load balancing using an additional web head on Sunday did you?

The software that bridges the sessions between the forum and the main site was upgraded on sunday, which precipitated some unforseen compatibility issues...I'm looking into it now.

Okedoke, I started using Flashchat for the first time on Monday night and found interestingly that it would drop out quite frequently. Seems to get the browser to poll an XML file on the server constantly. It may be linked to the saved credential issue.

What I did find is that switching to Firefox did seem to fix this issue for Flashchat, haven't tried it for the main site.

I'm using 64 bit Safari on Snow Leopard (Mac OSX 10.6) normally. I thought the issue with Flashchat might have been something between the 64 bit Safari and the Flash plugin. Perhaps its actually all linked to the same thing.

If you want additional testing etc. then let me know and I'll do the necessary from my end ^^

They call them "upgrades" and "patches"
That should be "new load of problems" to replace "previous load of problems"

Good luck and it isnt the end of the world user wise

This should be fixed now. You may need to clear your cookies first. iamsmith, a few people in the past have complained of being booted from the Flashchat repeatedly so it may well be an unrelated issue. I always use firefox and never really had that problem myself, but I wonder if you've just unearthed what the cause is? Got any more info on this XML file?

Hmm, well I'm still logged in after an hour away so it may well be fixed without relogging.

Cheers Scotty, I'll let you know how I get on. I'll see if Flashchat works through Safari reliably too ^^

Yup, Flashchat seems to work properly with Safari now. No more random dropouts. Cheers Scott.
