Default Squirrels in the roof.

The noisy sods have had their chips, I've let them bide for the last week or so but they're taking liberties now so I set up a double entry mink trap last night in the roof with a broken up chocolate digestive as bait.

I think I'll do the decent thing when they're caught and inject some lead into the ears, skin 'em and maybe try one for the pot.

Are there any good recipes?

We had squirrels in the roof/loft once, it drove me crazy.
They pulled all the loft insulation into a huge ball in one corner of the roof space too, and I HATE touching rockwool, it makes me itch like crazy !
Death is the only option. I used live traps and executed them as and when they were caught.
The important thing is to find where they're getting in and block it up! Or you'll hear that 'scratching' in the loft again before you know it.

Try here: Squirrel Recipes

I think Brunswick Stew is traditionally made with squirrel, would certainly taste good with the sweeter meat of squirrel I think, and I'd reduce the cooking time a little too.

A few lip-smackers there, Cajun sounds like the way to go for me.
I shall check the trap a bit later on and see what's occuring, but I reckon it might take a couple of days for them to get used to it.
