I got my new addition this saturday, its a Half domestic polecat / wild polecat cross,12 wk old, she comes from scotland her mother escaped from her keepers hutch and a week later was found in an area renound for wild polecats, then pop out come 13 kits!!! This is one of them, ive kept ferrets and worked them for 25 years and this one has something special, i cant wait to get her out! what do you think?
![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Shes exibiting behaviour not shown by domestic strains of ferrets, and is full of beans....

Yeah she is big built, 12 wks now, shes bigger than my other white jill, polecats in general are bigger built than whites, i have had tiny polecat jills over the years however. My mate i got her off has others that have wild polecat genes and they are about the same build and work like deamon's so im looking forward to seeing how she goes, ive a few shallow earths on my rounds so ill run her through those first, ill put my other jill through it first, be november time that.
She acts differently to the other kits i have at the mo, she goes ballistic when i give her a bit of bunny running up and down her cage like a loonie, you can see the wild gene's in her, mind you ive calmed her quickly she no longer bites and is responding to a squeek now which is good, its something id advise any ferret owner to do it comes in bloody handy that on occasion.
