Put in for your FAC and buy a decent rimfire for around half that price.
Spot on, I can never understand why people spend so much money on airguns, fair enough if you are starting out shooting but otherwise why not just go along to a club or get some land to shoot on, and put in for your FAC

I've got about 8 air rifles and have never bothered with an FAC, and I can take bunnies out to around 90 yards for about the cost of about 1.5p so why bother with anything else?? And my rifles do between 11 and 11.5 ftlb. In fact I know for a fact that my rifles are powerfull enough to take a rabbit at just over 125 yards, would I take that shot.... NO!! But on a good day weather wise with my huntsman I can quite easily move out to between 90 and 100 yards, that's because I dial in and used to do FT. It's more important to have accurate shooting than powerfull rifles.

any FT shooter shoots to over 75 yards regularly, I was with an ft shooter when he laser ranged a rabbit at over 120 yards and took it with one shot. I did'nt agree with him taking the shot but it proves that it's more than powerfull enough, you don't need 3ftlb to kill a rabbit.

I shot FT when it was initiated, competed against and drew with the British Champion and have shot full power air rifles for over 40 years, I never use them above 45 yards. Each to their own, thats an ethics thing which I will not go into.

Anyway back to the power thingy and money thingy,
Buy .17HMR and you can shoot rabbits at well over 200 yards if you are good enough, Decent HMR will cost around £300, whack a £100 scope on the top and £20 mount and your away.

No need for £650 dangerous toys

Have you got yards and feet mixed up?

Oh, and the original post is nearly half a decade old!

If you are unsuitable then you will be refused, ie criminal record for violence, mentally unstable, drug or alcohol problems, or domestic violence

If you have no problems in this department and you have adequate land to shoot on, the application should be granted
