Misses just shouted from the conservatory, not so strange i hear you say. Had to go look, no choice you see. but we saw a very strange sight, it looks like a massive duvet hanging over weymouth which went for miles in both directions. guess its a cirrocumulus cloud front.

It certainly does go for miles check out the satalite image. I'm just starting to see it up here in Northumberland.

That reminds me of a time when I was in Texas about 20 years ago and a Blue Norther came whistling down.
We were up in the hills looking across to Austin and this solid wall of clouds was advancing south accompanied with lightening and thunder. It was an amazing sight and made you feel really small in the face of nature

That reminds me of a time we spent in Bournmouth, camping. On the beach for the day and the cloud was a bit thicker than that about a mile or so inland. Looked very wierd at the time, but we had sun, so didn't give it much thought.
