i have been looking at a buck strider m-880T i like tantos. but the one i saw at the last knife show i went to had a really dull point, well the point was uh pointy but the edge that was incorberated into the point was really dull. (if you understood that) then my question, is the blade of that knife supposto be like that?

No it should have been sharp all the way around. You are talking about the "corner" where it goes up to the tip correct? If you are then it should have been just as sharp.

Hi Graham, what is the Svord drop point like? It looks abit like a kitchen knife to me.

the blade is very sharp, it'll cut through a sheet of paper under it's own weight. it does look a little like a kitchen knife but it handles very well. it's a forged blade so it's very strong and it throws fantastic sparks. it's replaced my woodlore as my knife of choice. well worth the money.

Nice looking knife. The shape of that knife does look like a kitchen knife. The one design I am working on now looks a lot like a butcher knife.

it's a very good carver with a nice convex edge which i prefer over a scandi grind.
it does resemble a kitchen knife, although that is no bad thing in my view, as it is less threatening to the sheeple when i'm camping. if they see me doing food prep with my svord it's not as intimidating as chopping up veggies with my khukri.
