I've wanted one of these for a while. Finaly gave in, asked for some advice from others who use them, speant my money and now have a new bit of kit to play with
Very pleased with it. Quite easy to set up and use. Still playing around to gauge effective trigger and picture distances, hieght of cam, angles, etc. ![]() ![]() ![]() These are some of the first night time pics. Very pleased with the badgers. They were there within a few minutes difference for three nights. The foxs varied over half an hour. Set it up on video for the fourth night and got some nice clips. Had it up in a few places over the week. Also caught muntjack, mice, rats, blackbird, pigeon, rabbit, tractor, farmer, and my son walking the dogs Think I've been quite lucky so far. Got a list of places I want to put it. With just the one cam it's going to take a fair while to scout the whole farm. Thanks for looking. (The big lump in the above pic isn't my son ! It's me) Duncan |

The eldest son, 14yo, already knows how to to set it and is going out to check and move it.
It was him changing its location slightly that caught the badgers and foxs. Previous night it was triggered but didn't catch anything. He moved it to another tree further along the clearing and changed angle and bingo ! (He was rather smug when it worked ![]() )Went out with youngest son today looking for animal paths along the field margins and he put up a fox out of the corn near a very clear trail so that's where it's going next. We have an owl box up in one of the barns that we think is being used by a barn owl. Have made a wooden bracket/box for the cam' to sit in. Just need the merlo so we can get high enough to fix it to a rafter opposite the box. The kids are very keen to see any pics from that ! |

I would like one of them..
Did anyone see the Night life nature programme on BBC..? Lots of night time cameras and some amazing footage of forest life. The net throwing spider was unbelievable..

You're not far wrong Scotty, sod the big cats, there's scarier than them out there.
Set the cam' up on the bird table today. Had way too many duff pics to trawl through and delete. Did get some I'm very happy with. ![]() ![]() Need to sort out a tripod and find the best angle to set it at. Hoped to catch the woodpeckers that sometimes visit. Guess they're going to take more patience. |
