Have been modifying my Carving blades based on the North american Indian Crooked blades
here are the cut blanks ready to bend HT and sharpen addresses a few problems brought up by green woodworkers ![]() left is the Hadjia Style the mounted ones have to short a tang for some with the front mounting hole to close to the edge the new blank has a bigger tang and set back mounting holes blank is cut large but can be ground down to smaller pointier shapes if required center is a spoon blade blank designed for Robin woods spec Right is a monster Hadjia blade 4.5mm thick 100mm blade length definatly a 2 handed job will be interesting to try on some logs Also had some of my Carvers featured in a Magazine 'Living Woods' Viewable here with permission of the Author Rob Exton ATB Duncan

I would like a couple of blades like the antler handled one but with longer tangs so they can have a handle like the Robin Wood spoon knife.

Hi Duncan,
It's great to see you developing these blades. I can vouch for how good the small Hadjia Style blades are, I took them to a bunch of greenwood workers for a weekend and the Hadjia Style blades were liked a lot. The blades are very versatile especially the tips. atb Mark
