Default dead frogs

last year after a period of cold weather my small pond thawed out revealing 7 dead frogs which i fished out,this year after the thaw 10 dead frogs,i don't want this to happen again what can i do to prevent this.

Float some tennis balls on your pond, when it is frozen pull them out one at a time as each hole freezes up. This allows the frogs to come up to breathe.

If you can get an old tropical fish tank heater, put one in near the surface and it will keep a small area of water around it frost free..

smal pond fountain pump should work it should stop the pond from freezing over

This is beside the point a little bit and perhaps in bad taste...but.....if you get the dead frogs, stick a straw up there arse, blow them up like a balloon and then let them go in the water. Fastest fu***ng frogs you'll ever see

We don't have that trouble for our frogs here in Florida I guess they are able to chew their way through the ice...
