Actually, the CIA did install Suddam Hussain, the USA funded the coup that eventually put him in power. They also trained Osama Bin Laden and his followers in the 1970s-80s to oppose the Soviets, effectively giving birth to Al Quaeda.

The CIA have been instrumental in coup d'etat and black ops for decades, the Bay of Pigs was CIA as was the killing of JFK. Iran in '53, again CIA led. Take a look on the internet, there's loads of info on loads of coup d'etat in different parts of the world. I have no doubt they are involved in some rather suspect things of recent years, they wouldn't admit it would they?!

If you begin to appreciate how America really works, you'll find that there is nothing the 'ruling elite', and I use that phrase lightly as I know how it sounds , aren't capable of...

America is run by big business, the power lies in the hands of a few, CEOs and corporate executives, who engineer both domestic and foreign policy for shameless profiteering. Fair enough, this is an opinion, but the facts are plain for all to see if you open you're eyes. These are people who actually benefit on the back of war. The military-industrial complex; the billion-dollar defense contractors, the oil companies, the banking families...establishing a foothold in he middle east by fermenting suspicion at home and encouraging this spurious climate of fear over the ever-present threat of 'terrorism' has maintained the status quo for this cabal of the rich and the powerful by securing dwindling oil reserves, funding trillion-dollar defence contracts and giving the US a base of operations in the middle east to expand outwards and do it to someone else next (i.e. Iran)

Does this mean that 9/11 was an inside job, that the CIA are responsible for killing thousands of their own citizens? I don't know, the CIA have done some pretty reprehensible things, and it wouldn't be the first time they'd considered it (See Operation Northwoods)...but I really do believe that the moral underpinnings for Western intervention, not just in Iraq and Afghanistan but all over the world, are false - though unfortunately largely believed by the public, due in no small part to the manipulative entities behind much of the media.

War is Politics by other means and Politics is Business by other means. Hitler had it right , we are a nation of shop-keepers and we currently have plenty of door-to-door sales people doing doorstep sales in a variety of places.

I don't think we any less innocent than the States , in our history we have managed to f##k over quite a few countries.

All of this being said , i am a firm supporter of Armed services and at the end of the day, i would rather have the finite assets then not. Fair ? No. Meet ( social ) Darwinism.

Meh, I just think people put way too much stock in all these theories floating around on the internet.

I had decided already not to go back to that website. They tried to tell me how much information I'd be missing by not putting up with their BS. Everything I did see on there that was survival oriented (despite the title of the forum I didn't really see anything bushcraft related) I had already seen on other forums that didn't try to belittle people.
