I'm planning on giving this a go the next time I manage to get out. Would definitely need a tarp, but a kip mat and bag could be just chucked inside. It comes with v. heavy steel pegs, but they could be left out/replaced.

Pack size, compared to a yeomans two man tent:

a mate of mine got scared by one of these in basra, it was up in the roof of the tent on top of some stuff, everyone noticed it except ben, so the canvas was duly banged so it fell on him luckily he didnt get bitten but some other guys did. Definately scared the ****e out of him tho.....

Apparently camel spider cricket was a favourite....... watch it run towards you then bat the freaky monster
