What about putting together some proper seating around the fire out of some of the big felled logs we got around before we burn them all ? Also how about some fire reflectors behind the seating ? your thoughts !!

I wouldn't have thought a reflector would last very long. Especially now we are only allowed the one communal fire. Who would want to sit behind it?

Having large logs around the fire - another one I'm a little down on. Great during dry weather, but wet in the rain. I think everyone bringing something to sit on around the fire is a better idea.

You could enclose the seating are with logs though, just as long as you need enough room to move away from the fire should Bernie be managing it.

The one communal fire is mainly for cooking you can still have contained or raised fires next to your camp the owner has mentioned his concerns about the no of fires twice now, I don't think there would be a third time and it would be a great shame to lose such a good area for such a trivial matter as how many fires we can have. seating I think should be left to the individual, once we put the parachute up that it seems traps a lot of the heat and radiates it back down

Not a good idea to let Bernie look after the fire, we let him have a small stick fire at the last meet and this is what happened.....
