Apologies for not being able to contribute over the summer but ive been away learning how to be a hostage negotiator /sarcasm
Well since it was a skill we had been discussing lately. We decided to have a forging day. Tony and Kevin had a super set up ready for us when we arrived. Its amazing what you can do with a Beer keg and a matress pump (im sure there is some innuendo in there somewhere). It certainly beats the first set up I practiced on. Personally, I like belting the sh*t out of something on a Saturday afternoon with friends. Our task was to make some working flint strikers. Who needs the pub?

The many uses of a beer keg. Despite being aluminum, it held up quite well. Nice work Tony

As the out going president of the IBC my sincere thanks to lads who presented me a lovely Enzo trapper. Thanks to Tony for putting the handle on it and doing a beautiful job.I will be heading off to British Columbia next month to live and work for the next few years I hope. I have had so much craic with these lads in the woods, talkin sh*te, making sh*te and eating sh*te. Ill miss it. Im looking forward to my last hoorah with them next month where we will inaugurate the new president in the time honoured apache tradition of name calling, verbal abuse and toothpaste in the sleeping bag :-)
