Does anyone know what the best glue for resticking the seam tapes on an army issue gortex jacket is, as time has taken its toll on mine and most of the tapes are comming away.

I've heard that tent seam glue will work, and can last a long time.

gazza you can buy new seam tape from either pointnorth or pennine outdoor, which is probably cheaper than seam seal glue depending on how much tape has come away.it just irons on i believe.

I've tried that tape on a gortex bivi bag, and it's now starting to come away.

ta hefty that sounds like good stuff, the seam tape down both arms seem to have lifted over the summer while its been packed away i might get some of that tape & do a comparison between the two ( glue v tape )\\:D/
