Well here's ours to get you started - Robin rough carves them and I do the finishing. The first one is like a little boat with a rounded base, but it still sits quite nicely upright even when full - Robin uses it at breakfast time mostly:

and this is my current favourite, my sweetheart kuksa

We happen to have two more on the go at the moment. The one I've nearly finished I'm just not quite happy with so I'm faffing on with it. Robin's working on a burr alder one which will be really spectacular when finished.

This one probably needs a soak in some oil. The handle was designed to fit nicely between my thumb and fore finger.

It was originaly taller than this (as can be gathered from the handle) but I took a big chip out of it whilst carving.

Oh.. and the cord is nettle that has seen better days.

Its poplar (i think grey) BTW.

Edit: Sorry about the big photos, I got a better camera so my standard "shrink" size is no longer enough!!

lovely Kuksa photos there people!
Here are a couple of the one I made, it is from Ash too, and it took me 3 months on and off with a crook knife. I still have the scars to prove it!
So far it has only been used to drink rum and various other passarounds round the fire, and that's how it's going to stay:biggrin:
