Hi All, I came across this site when I googled "canteen cup cooking." I was just looking for some good recipes which didn't call for MRE stuff.
Anyway, I live in Indiana on land that has wild strawberries growing underfoot, several mulberry bushes, raspberry thickets, and dandelions. This is in addition to plentiful rabbit, squirrel, and white tailed deer. Unfortunately, I'm going to leave soon due to development - too many people are coming in too close. Nice houses, but no respect for what's around here. I am getting more nervous hunting in my woods as I've seen trespassers of late. We'll see what develops.
My personal life I don't talk about much, but I will say that I am back in college at age 30, unemployed as Wabash is in a depressed economy and almost nobody have jobs (my father, who is a General Motors engineer, will be forced into retirement in November). I keep up with bills using eBay and Gunbroker. I'm able to do this because I do not believe in credit in the form of cards or anything else, and that's as important to survival as anything, I think.
I believe I see some familiar handles here. Whether they are the ones I knew from Shooters.com, I do not know. I know that in the thread that drew me here, I saw one "Pict," who, if he's the same one, is in Brazil and "knew" me as El Chivato years ago. If you have any questions, please ask.
