Being a big fan of Ray Mears and bushcraft in general. I trawled the web and found your very interesting site. I cannot go on camping trips because of dodgy knees. The doctor said I should get a tepee and join the pawnee tribe. HA HA HA. Sorry but the jokes don't get any better.

Hello Rodgers, and welcome..
hello and welcome, friendly bunch here, and even if you cant camp cos of dodgy knees you can still potter about and do bits, thats the beauty of the outdoors you can make it what you want. Just enjoy yourself!
Hi from sunny Scotland, see I can do bad jokes too ...now wheres that towel.
I have a condition which means I can't walk far, and by that I mean more than 100mtr and I have to stop, but I still get out into the wilds, just means I make camp a bit closer to the car than I did years ago. I get withdrawl symptoms if I don't get my regular fix of Bacon, eggs, and beans done on a campfire first thing in the morning while surrounded by nature, it's in my blood, it don't taste the same when done on the kitchen stove. As you can see I'm pretty close to the car!
